A human being seems to have two broad facets – Thinking /Logic on one hand and Feeling/Emotion on the other. We tend to feel superior because we can think better than animals or others beings. However, the real fact is that the play of emotions is more pervasive in human life. Emotions are the life force which drive our pursuits, give us feelings and sense of accomplishment. Joy, Beauty, Love, Courage and other feelings are some common experiences. However, we experience negative emotions and thoughts much more in life. Our essential nature of being in balance and harmony is now turned on its head. We feel more of grief , sorrow,  pain, anger, frustration and fear.

A mother who is treated well by the family and society, nurtures her baby better. Adolf Hitler and Saddam Hussain are examples quoted often to illustrate the contrary. Eminent psychologists, have emphatically opined that many criminal, decadent and dangerous tendencies, like in Hitler and Saddam Hussein have their origins in the emotional traumas of their prenatal, birth or perinatal environments.

A child needs emotional learning. How to handle positive and negative emotions are a skill set needed for life. Even when adverse thoughts or feelings surface we need to face and handle them. Education is also given to the child of what the baby should take in and what should be avoided. This is highly empowering for the child and it hence builds a sound emotional base for life.
